Dr Rone is a board certified endocrinologist who also suffers from hypothyroidism. The paradox is that most internists and even some endocrinologists tend to dismiss mild abnormalities of thyroid function, in contrast to a substantial minority of hypothyroidism suffereers, who do not feel well until their thyroid replacement is optimized and sometimes T3 is used along with T4.
